Rose for Emily

on January 24, 2012

You are an investigative reporter who has been working on the Emily Grierson case. Now it is time for you to publish an article for the newspaper where you tell readers what happened. You may decide what newspaper you want to publish in. For example, if you choose a paper like the New York Times, you will need to be quite intellectual in your approach. If you choose a paper like “El Vocero” you can be much more hard core in the telling. The idea is  to present the info as if it were a real newspaper article. Remember number of word minimum and good English.

Death arrives to a strange house in Jefferson

It has just been informed that Emily Grierson has been found dead at her house in Jefferson, at the age of 74 years, by her servant Tobe. According to the investigations realized and various interviews to her neighbors, it is believed that Emily was found in a room that had been sealed for 40 years. But the great mystery was the degree of decay in which was found her supposed lover, known as Homer Barron.

The real story began with her father’s death. Her father’s death apparently turned her crazy. It wasn’t until after three days that she acknowledged his death and gave his body for the funeral. There was a great odor reported by the neighbors of the community that was damped by the sprinkle of lime around the foundations of the Grierson home. Thanks to this, people thought she was crazy.

She was single until the age of thirty. It wasn’t until two years after her father’s death that Homer Barron came to town with a construction company for a job to pave the sidewalks. Emily was seen with Homer on Sundays, which scandalized the town. It was also thought that marriage was on the horizon because she was seen buying men’s clothing and by the way she was with him. The people pitied her for her loss but at the same time were happy with her finally going out with a man. Since people thought marriage was near, her cousins arrived in town. Because of that, Homer left home for a long time. It was during that time that Emily was seen going to the drug store to buy arsenic, which was found weird by the neighbors. It wasn’t until after her cousins left the house that Homer came back to town, but after that, Homer and Emily weren’t seen going out of the house.

Years went by and they were still nowhere to be seen. It wasn’t until after a lot of years later that she was very old and her death was announced that the room that had been sealed for 40 years was finally opened. Inside the room, there was a chill in the air and wedding clothes were there. A body was found in a very advanced level of decay in a bed and beside the body an indentation on the pillow making it seem that someone had been sleeping there, where a long strand of gray hair was found. It is believed that Emily was the one that had been sleeping besides the body and that there was where she died. Also, it is possible that she was the one that had Homer disappear by killing him with the arsenic. With this, the mysterious happenings in the Grierson house are possibly explained, but the people still ask themselves what may have really happened.

    Dead & Dusty

Old Emily Grierson was found dead last week, the cause was sickness due to the conditions of her household. Ms. Grierson, an aged black woman had lived most of her life shut inside the decaying house, with a negro man to help her survive by occasionally going to and from the local market. At first, the neighbors thought it was because of her father’s death, in which she shut the body inside the house and denied it the decency of a proper funeral. From here everything went downhill, as the once splendorous house began to lose its beauty. “It just kept getting worse, there was no end to it, and she clearly didn’t know how to care for a house” (one of Ms. Grierson’s neighbors) everyone was surprised when they saw Homer Barron, a tall Negro man who spent a considerable amount of time with Ms. Grierson. Soon after the truth was out, and Mr. Barron would be getting married to Mr. Grierson. But after that he was never seen again for reasons unknown until the day of Mr. Grierson’s funeral. “Horrendous, simply atrocious!” exclaimed another neighbor who had seen the body. “I would have never thought it possible”. The day of the Funeral for Mr. Grierson at her house, locals opened a door said to be closed for 40 years, inside was the corpse of Mr. Barron, covered in a thin sheet of dust. Authorities say that beside him was a hair belonging to Mr. Grierson, Investigations are currently taking place but it is safe to assume that the one responsible for this now joins her fiancé in death.

    Mysterious death in Jefferson

In Jefferson, the body of an old woman was founded dead at her house. According to the police and town people the body was founded in a downstairs bedroom in her house at the age of 74 years. The people inform that she has not been seen in the town until 40 years, but the real mystery in this case is the body that was founded upstairs in Emily’s house. The corpse of Homer Barron, known as Emily’s lover, was founded in a high level of decomposition.
This case has past repercussions which make this more mysterious. In the investigation we founded that years ago Emily’s father dead. Emily reported her father’s death three days later when she gives his body to the funeral. About this situation, people in the town think that Emily turned traumatized or crazy. Two years after her father dead and a short time after her lover disappeared, the people in the town reported some bad odor around Emily’s house, but no one confront her and they just sprinkle lime and the odor gone.
At the age of thirty, Emily, a single woman, begins dating with Homer Barron, who is in the town on a sidewalk building-project. Sometimes, the people seen Emily with Homer and they disapproves the relationship. The people bring Emily’s cousins to the town to stop the relationship. One day, Emily is seen at the drugstore buying arsenic and the people found weird and think that she pretends to kill herself. Also, she began to buy some men’s things and the town thinks that she being married with Homer. When Emily’s cousins came to the town, Homer left the house, and then he came back after her cousin left the town. After that, anyone has seen both, Emily and Homer.
After forty years, Emily was very old and her death was announced in the town. The body was founded by her servant, Tobe, in a downstairs bedroom at the house. No one has entered to the house until a long time. In the funeral, the room that had been sailed during 40 years, they encounter the corpse of her lover, Homer Barron. Besides Homer’s body, in the pillow they founded some long, gray hair and they supposed that someone had been sleeping there. Emily was sleeping there along the 40 years. Now, the town begins to speculate that she bought the arsenic to kill Homer, but anyone knows the truth. This is the mysterious about the case that anyone do not know what really occur in the house of Emily Grierson.

    Death arrives town

Our town, Jefferson, has experienced the news of a mysterious death. The death of Emily Grierson, a 74 year old woman very known between the folks in town because of her disappearance for approximately 40 years. Throughout her life she encountered some difficulties, like the death of her father. After this it has been considered that she may have started to lose her mind. She then met her loved Homer Barron, which was also found in decomposition in Emily’s house. The body of Homer Barron brings a lot of questions to the case. Why was he there? What happened? It is a mystery. Ms. Emily lived alone, there was only one person that was always with her, which was her negro servant. He is one of the suspects in the case, just like Emily was. Emily’s financial background can give us more information about what could have happened. Emily had a debt she couldn’t pay anyhow that may have caused her throughout her stress in life to be a disturbed person. When her lover left she was really devastated, the preoccupation of her taxes also became a martyr in her life. For 40 years this woman was not seen around town, when finally seen she was described in a foul way. Finally we come to the mysterious and most disturbing part of the news which is that the body of her lover Homer Barron was found in a bed which the pillow that was just beside me had gray and white hairs all over it. Leaving us in question trying to figure out if she was the one who killed him or because she had a secret romance with her servant maybe the servant killed him and she is covering it. Was she capable enough of sleeping beside this dead body? What right minded person would be able to cover this kind of death? It all remains a mystery for now.

    LAST GRIERSON FOUND DEAD
Authorities in Yoknapatawpha County, Jefferson were investigating after Emily Grierson, a 74-year-old lady, and Homer Baron, her once time lover, were found dead in the basement of the Grierson’s “old-worn mansion”.
Jefferson Police Department received a call Friday night from Tobe, the servant of the house, who informed the authorities of the death of his “master.” 10 minutes later, a cab arrived at the house and reported that a very stringent, foul smell haunted the house. Further on, there was nobody there except Emily Grierson’s body lying on the kitchen floor.
The funeral was organized by the townspeople themselves and held two days after the disappearance of Tobe and the anomalous 911 call. During the funeral, various neighbors succeeded in breaking down the door of a room no one had seen in 40 years. To their surprise, they found Homer Barron’s body lying on the bed.
Barron worked for a construction company in the town. Grierson and him had been seen together various times; it was assumed that they were in a relationship. Barron, however disappeared after returning to see Mrs. Emily; he was last seen entering her house.
Next to Barron’s body, there was a gray strand of hair. It was confirmed that the strand of hair belonged to Grierson. Both bodies were sent to an autopsy and the report revealed that Barron had died over 40 years ago and Grierson, at most, 5 days ago, due to high levels of arsenic-containing chemicals in their blood stream. Detectives are still investigating the happenings; however, they owe the pungent smell of the house to the storage of the body of Barron.

    Unknown death

Homer Barron, worker who paves the sidewalks from a construction company, was found murdered last week inside Emily Grierson’s house, a very old and dirty house full of dust. Emily Grierson was an old woman who died yesterday inside her own house and by the neighbors she was Homer Barron’s lover. After her death, Emily’s servant looked for some people to let them know that she died so he could leave and not take care of the mess and he founded two neighbors, so the two neighbors, with curiosity, entered the house to see how Miss Grierson lived all her life without getting out at least to the sidewalk and while those two people entered to look, the servant took advantage and leave though the back door like if there was something wrong. There was a room closed, very hard to open it, it seems that Emily didn’t open it in years. When the two neighbors opened the door, there it was, Homer Barron’s dead body on top of the bed. Gabriel Curet, the doctor from the town, Jefferson, indicated that the body has been there at least almost forty years without anybody touching him. The Jefferson’s Crime Unit leader, Roman, indicated that this case must have been classify as murder. “We have never seen such thing, the woman of this house or the servant Tobe surely killed this innocent man” exclaimed Roman. Dr. Gabriel Curet also noticed something in Homer’s head so it helped the crime unit to investigate and see from where that came from. Stay tuned because tomorrow night we will know who did this.

Mysterious deaths among the Grierson’s household

Time has passed since the last time a citizen of Jefferson saw Miss Emily Grierson around her home. Neighbors say she was never a too sociable person. Recently, Miss Grierson was found dead in the interior of her home at the age of 74. This misfortune incident gave the neighbors a chance to satisfy their curiosity of what the insides of Emily’s home look like. People’s interest in knowing stuff doesn’t always end as they plan, but as the saying goes “curiosity killed the cat”.

The story tells us that the only people that lived in that house were Emily, her supposed lover Homer Barron and a Servant. Rumors declare that for a several amount of time a foul smell rounded the Grierson’s home. Weekly, the house servant use to go to the local market to pick up some usual necessary items. He is the only person that went in and out of this house. Some people say that Homer abandoned Emily and others say that she was having an affair with the house servant. Authorities confirmed that Homer’s body was also found decomposed lying on the master bed. Apparently, this was the cause of the stench that surrounded the house area for weeks. For some reason, the servant never informed Homer’s death. This classifies the servant as the major suspect of his decease. But, Homer passed away some time before Emily. The authorities are still investigating to find out the true cause of this and the servant will be submitted to police interrogation.

Sometimes we find out stuff by looking for others. The results of the Grierson’s inquiry still maintains unsolved. There is the same probability of Homer and Emily dying of illness as of an assassination. Doubts and concerns still run by the town people’s minds. Soon, this case will be determined and we will make sure to let the world know through this newspaper.

  8. 40 Years of Mysteries
The story that began as a well-kept secret, turned into the biggest scandal in the story of the city of Jefferson. Days after the corpse of Miss Emily Grierson was found in one of the rooms on the ground floor of her house, the police has not yet been able to clarify the story hidden in the walls of the Grierson Mansion. “We are still gathering information, but we are getting close to discover what happened in that house.”-declared the detective in charge of the investigation.
But yesterday afternoon the mystery turned grimmer when a second body was found on the second floor of the mansion. According to police records it could be the body of Homer Barron, known to many as the ultimate lover of Miss Grierson. “We saw them together many times, first as friends and then as a couple,” assured the neighbors. Mr. Barron was a contractor who was hired to fix the sidewalk that was down the street where Ms. Grierson lived. After a time the neighbors began to watch them together, and many came to believe that after thirty years of being single, Miss Grierson was to become Mrs. Barron. “I felt happy for her, with the thought that she had finally found the man of her life,” commented one of the neighbors. After a few weeks, Miss. Grierson was seen buying wedding accessories, “To me the wedding of Emily and Mr. Barron was something definite, so I thought it strange what happened after” – said a distant cousin of Miss Grierson.
Emily Grierson was seen buying arsenic in a pharmacy in the city. Sometime after Mr. Barron was seen entering the house of Miss Grierson, that was the last time he was seen alive. “Emily Grierson was not right mentally, since the death of her father she was no longer the same” – said a friend of Miss Grierson.
Emily Grierson lived with her father and her future husband. When her father died Miss Grierson refused to bury his corpse, she intended to stay with it in the mansion. After a time, neighbors and friends of the family managed to bury the body of Mr. Grierson. This caused Emily to sink into a deep depression. Few days later, her fiancé left her. The Poor Miss Grierson was traumatized by the events of those days, and because of this she locked herself in the mansion with the only company of Tobe, a servant who went to the market to buy food. Many thought that everything would change but it was not so. After Homer Barron entered the house of Miss Grierson, no one knew something of him until the day he was discovered in the Grierson Manson. The autopsy of Homer Barron proved that he died from arsenic poisoning some 40 years ago. And the autopsy of Emily Grierson demonstrated that she died for the same reasons. Perhaps Emily killed Homer Barron to keep him by her side and because of the remorse she killed herself, or perhaps the story is completely different, we may never know. The point is that Emily Grierson lived her life in the worst state, she was alone and sad. Who can blame her? She was desperate for someone that could help her with her burden, and because of this she made to herself a friendship that lasted for 40 year.

Emily Grierson: An eccentric woman with a peculiar story

    by Paola Rivera, Investigative Reporter

JEFFERSON – Miss Emily Grierson, the last Grierson, was found dead in one of the downstairs rooms at her house in Jefferson at the age of 74. Neighbors speculate that she might have succumbed to illness. The man in charge of her house, Tobe, would not yield any information.

“Tobe led us in, and all of a sudden, he was gone. He left through the back of the house. We have not heard of him ever since”, a worried neighbor says.

Although this story seems fairly simple enough on its own, it takes on a shocking twist as after the funeral, people decided to break down the door to an upstairs chamber inside Miss Grierson’s house, where a dead man’s body was found lying on a bed. The eerie part of all this, is that on the pillow next to the body, a strand of gray hair was found. This might be more than mere coincidence, given the fact that Miss Emily’s hair was gray.

“My mother used to tell me that nobody could believe their eyes as they started seeing Miss Emily going out with a foreman named Homer Barron, because he was known to be homosexual. Almost everybody in Jefferson thought that Miss Emily would end up getting married to him, because they learned that she had bought a man’s toilet set in silver and a complete outfit of men’s clothing as well. The weird part of all this, is that nobody has seen Homer Barron again”, a neighbor said. “You might want to talk to the retired pharmacist that lives across the street. I have heard that he knows a secret about Miss Emily.”

Following the neighbor’s advice, we went to talk to the retired druggist and asked him a few questions.

“It happened thirty or forty years ago. I remember Miss Emily being over thirty years old and thinner than usual. Staring at me in a cold way, she asked for some poison. I asked her what she wanted it for, but she did not answer. I got her some arsenic, justifying it as rat poison. I am not proud of what I did. I hope she really used it to get rid of rats.”

Many people seem to think that Tobe could have been involved in all this, as he disappeared after Miss Grierson’s death. Others say that Miss Grierson herself could have committed the crime, due to the loneliness she felt after her father’s death, or perhaps after discovering Homer’s sexual identity. Or was she exhibiting necrophiliac* behavior?

The authorities are still investigating this case, but we are sure this intriguing mystery will be solved soon.

Miss Emily Dies Leaving an Intriguing Mystery Behind

After a few days of Miss Emily’s funeral, a corpse was found in an abandoned room inside her house. Apparently, an iron gray hair was lying below the corpse’s pillow leaving Miss Emily as a prime suspect. But, was she really a criminal? Or was she being incriminated by someone? I took the liberty of making an investigation myself. Going back, to the days Emily’s father was alive; I found a sad episode of loneliness in her life. Her father, forbid many men to be able to date her daughter. This could have been the beginning of a stale live, a life where no confidence in men could be found. To worsen the situation, 2 years after her father died, her fiancé left her. At this point, Miss Emily’s heart would probably be crushed; nonetheless there was no apparent evidence of depression. Going deeper into her love life I found that she was dating a certain construction worker for some time. I was told by some neighbors: “Well we constantly saw him in bars with younger men… He didn’t seem compromised. Now that he was found dead it explains why no one had seen him around in 40 years.” I was also told by a retired pharmacist that she went and bought some rat poison about the time he was still working. “I wasn’t sure for what reason she was buying it… I just guessed it was for some rats”, the pharmacist also added. I also found out about the fact that around 40 years ago there was a really bad smell coming from Miss Emily’s house. So, all these clues pointed towards her… But I decided to interview someone rather “unknown” to the people. I went and interview the Negro. At the beginning he refused to tell me anything, but with my perseverance I finally got my interview. “What I will tell you… I can only tell because she is dead.” I was rather thrilled when he began speaking… And so he went on: “I first wish to tell, Miss Emily was no murderer. It was a simple accident, but she had some problems with letting go. She did not kill him; he accidentally touched the rat’s poison and well… You should guess the rest.” I must admit I was rather touched… Knowing that Miss Emily kept him in his room all this time just because she loved him, was a vast example of true love. She may have been considered crazy by many. But I’d say this woman knew how to love.

A strange dead for a strange woman

In the past few days Emily Grierson was found dead in her house. Local investigators find out that the room door where Emily Grierson was found dead have not been open in a long time. Homer Barron, a foreman from the North that was dating Emily a long time ago, was also found dead in her house. Investigators have reveal that Emily was a strange woman since her father died, others thing that her father drive her crazy before his death. Two years after her father death she started dating Homer Barron. A merchant confessed that he sell her a poison with the excuse that it was for rats days after local people find out that they were dating. Homer was seen entering Emily’s house but not leaving, and for a long time her house was closed no one in or out in exception for her servant “negro”. Not until a time later she open the house again looking older that she was before and started giving painting classes. In the mean time Homer Barron was missing for a long time also. When she stopped giving painting classes she enclosed her for a long time again and died in her house. Some folks think that Emily was the murder of Homer Barron for the suspicious things she have done and her strange personality. But the reality is that nothing have been proved and will remain unknown since the secret Emily and Homer Barron take them to their graves.

    Mysterious death in Jefferson
According to our latest police information, Emily Grierson a 74 years old lady was found death in his very bad condition house. The report says that she was found death inside a sealed room downstairs. The neighbor called the police because their house started to smell bad, like something death, the older neighbor tell us in the report about Emily’s father death, she kept his body in her house for at least three days. There will no doubt that this bad smells that all the neighbors in town smelled could be Homer Baron because both of them where lost for almost 40 years. No one can see them, but also she had a Negro who keeps the house in optimums condition. After his death the Negro goes away and no one sees him again. When police entered the house found all the decoration of the room of men’s cloth and in the bed where some long grey hair. The people commented that Emily poisoned Homer during his stance because she asks in the pharmacy for arsenic, and her explication was “to kill some rats”. For their acts all the town knows her as the crazy old woman in town.
Could be Emily killed Homer, then she kept it like his father? Maybe the Negro killed Homer for jealous or maybe Homer fight with the Negro because she found him with Emily? We cannot know exactly what happened there but for sure is something, she has mental break after his dad death and the breaking with his boyfriend when she was young. But now what left is to find the Negro and ask him what really happened.

    From Taxless To Hearless

Emily Grierson, the town’s strangest character, was found dead at her dusty, ghastly house. Emily was 74 years old. It would be a huge understatement to say that she was a rather unusual woman. She was mostly known for her unwillingness to pay taxes. Everyone knew she was not normal, but none were prepared to see what they encountered during her funeral, which was held at her own house. When the word got out that she died, the town people gathered at her house to render respects for her death; little did they know, that they would found a decomposed corpse in a sealed room that had been carefully shut. After several days of investigation, the body was identified as Homer Baron, Emily’s ex-lover. The body was found in such foul conditions, that experts say the body had possibly been kept hidden for at least for decades. Neighbors and town residents had reported a horrible, excruciating smell, coming from Emily’s house. A number of neighbors had even teamed up one night to spread lime across the house to see if that would neutralize the repugnant smell. Although the true reasons behind the murder remain unknown, many speculate it could’ve been to the fact that Homer had left her because he no longer loved her, and was attracted to men. He was seen gathering with men, drinking and having a good time, at the town’s bars the days before he had vanished. No one had seen Emily since she quit giving art classes at her own house. Homer had been missing for a very long time. There are still many dots to be connected, but at the moment it seems it was a murder committed out of jealousy and mental instability. It seems she suffered from depression, since her father’s death at an early age. After that, she never was able to integrate herself into society and displayed various anti-social characteristics. At the moment, there are no witnesses, but authorities are trying to locate the young man which worked as a servant for numerous years at Emily’s house. He was the only one that entered her house during the last years of her life. If someone gets a hold of him, the whole mystery could finally be revealed. He could offer some valuable insight and details into this whole macabre situation. If you see the man that is in the picture on the cover of this newspaper, please call local authorities immediately.

Around 40 years passed since we didn’t know anything about the life of Emily Grierson , until now. She was found dead at her house on Jefferson by her servant, which was her only link with the outside world, at the age of 74. Due to this unfortunate situation, some news and speculations flew between the neighborhoods, about her disappearance, death cause, and unusual second death of her lover, Homer Barron.

Starting with the death of her father (death that couldn’t live with), signs of madness was spotted when she lived with the body for three days before turn it to a proper funeral. “Crazy old woman”, was her name by all the people that live around and have know about the body. With the depression and the new madness, Emily couldn’t handle many situations that her father in life leaves to her. In way to find support, two years after her father’s death, Homer Barron comes to town with a construction company, creating an instant obsession on Emily’s mind. Trying to buy this man with clothes and wealth, the people starts to wonder about what was he thinking, was true love, or even if the wedding would come soon…

With Emily Grierson death, many of these mysteries come to the public eye, like the recently found body of Homer Barron. Disappeared around 40 years, he found dress like a married men by force at Emily’s bed. Which tell us that there wasn’t any marriage at all, this could cause Emily frustration and make her commit homicide. But her death still a mystery, many people said that was natural, others said that was suicide, but at the end you decide what happen.

    Old Diary Solve a Mystery

After two weeks looking for some permits, the government let us enter to investigate Emily Grierson’s house that was in the main street of her the town. Emily Grierson, one of the most famous people in her town had passed away last month. After an anonymous call that we receive about a corps that was in her house for 40 years we decide to make a research about this. As we investigate it is look like that the body that was found lying on a bed in the second floor of Grierson’s house was Mr. Homer Barron. When we entered in the room that Barron was found lying in a bed we look for evidence in the closet and in every single spot of the room, but it was hopeless, there was nothing, until the moment that we were leaving the room. In that moment one of my colleagues, Sebastian Olsen fell when one of the wooden floorboards was not tied to the floor. When we remove the floor board we found Emily’s old diary. Here she explained that one day she went to Andrew Smith’s store and she bought arsenic and she was complaining about how angry she was with Barron because she found him with another man. At the end of the diary she was saying that she invited Barron that night to eat at her house and that she had a special desert for him, arsenic and after the moment that he was going to tasted Barron was not going to leave her.

One of the neighbors that was interviewed by our paper said “Homer was a poor man that well, you know he was homosexual and he was a good friend of her or that’s what I always had heard. One night he went to her house and he never was seeing again”. Also an old man named Andrew Smith said: “Barron was a peculiar man not like the rest of us, he was that kind of man that everybody wanted to be like, and also Miss Emily knew that. I remember seeing them walking in the street from the drug store that I worked and I also remember one day that Miss Emily came to buy some arsenic, that was the first time and the last time that I speak to her”. Thanks to the declaration of Smith about the arsenic and that it was at the same time that Emily and Homer where dating and then when no one saw him again made us think in the relation between his disappearance and the arsenic. We entered the house looking for the clues that prove our theory about the arsenic and Barron’s disappearance and we found it. Thanks to the investigation of our paper and the declaration of the neighbors of Emily we solve the mystery that the police at the moment have not solved.

    Tragic Love

    By Ricardo A. Sanchez Rivera

Emily Grierson, of 74 years of age, was found dead inside her own house. It also turns out that she was not the only person dead inside the house. Police indicates that there was a body inside a sealed room on her house. Neighbors who knew Emily suggest that this body might be the body of Homer Barron, the deceased lover of Emily, who dissapeared for 40 years. In search for more evidence, we ask the neighbors and friends of the deceased Emily and this is what they said: ” I once sold some arsenic to Emily, after that i never saw him again. I also remember that it was also around the time Homer also dissapeared” said Smith, who was working at a drug store those years ago. People also indicates that there was actually a young man working for Emily at her house around those years. Police tried to know about his whereabouts but has not been found. People also indicate that apparently Emily changed dramatically when her father died. She actually kept the body for three days, until it began to stank and people had to interfere.

Evidence like this suggests that Emily was suffering from a deep depression, and probably some mental illness. In light of this, it is very possible that she could have something to do with the death of her lover. We also found that Homer left her sometime before she bought the arsenic. This evidence makes it even more possible that Emily did actually murdered Homer. Police are inclined to go to this conclusion but they still suggest that they must find the young guy who worked for her before anybody goes to any conclusion. ”It is very possible that this man might actually have very good information, so from now on we leave this investigation inconclusive” said the police.

After Emily Grierson’s dead Tobe left the house, and that’s when the neighbors started gossiping and implying what could have been the cause of death. Also the say that Tobe was in love with her and that is why he left. That it is the sadly story that the neighbors tells of Emily Grierson’s death, still to be found the real cause.

After a death all the dirt comes out!

A old woman was found dead at her house by her employee. The elder woman was named Emily Grierson, who died at 74 years of age and was known for her mysterious ways. Tobe, her employee, was the one that took care of this old woman, went groceries shopping and even maintained the house. The towns people claim that no one had seen her come out of her house over ten years, although few entered the house when she gave china painting lessons.

The mystery of this story, is that after Miss Emily died, the townspeople go to pity her death, but all they found was a dead corpse in a room that was locked over 40 years ago in the upper part of the house. The corpse is claimed to be Homer Barron, a known lover of Miss Grierson. The room in which the dead body was found, was filled with preparations of what could be a wedding. Some people claim that those objects were ordered by Miss Emily over 40 years ago, which they believed that a marriage was going to take place. In the room was found the dead body laying in a bed, a man’s suit laid out and man’s toilet seat with the initials “H.B.”.

An investigation throughout the town got to the conclusion that Miss Emily was mentally ill. Everything started after her father‘s death, when she told the people that her father was alive, that made the townspeople take matter into their hands and remove the dead body from the house. After that incident she meet Homer Barron, the only man known of being extra-friendly to Miss Grierson. Then started the arranges for a marriage, but many people believed that Homer didn’t want to get married. Until one day Homer Barron was seen entering the house, but never seen come back out. It was said that Miss Emily bought arsenic with the excuse for rat poisoning, but really poisoned Homer so he could remain with her for ever.

An interesting fact about this murder, is that beside the corpse of this lover laid a pillow with indentation of a head and over it a iron-gray hair, believed to belong to the mysterious woman who all pity.

    Killed for being a homosexual

A body was found last week, almost discomposing in a Jefferson home. The police has identified the body as Homer Barron, who was the foreman of a company that had arrived to Jefferson to pave the sidewalks. He was found murdered last week inside Emily Grierson’s house. The body was finally found when neighbors entered the house during Emily Grierson’s funeral. Emily Grierson was also found in her old and very dusty home, by her servant Tobe. She died at the age of 74 and her cause of death is believe to be old age. When the neighbors entered the house they went downstairs because of a strong smell and there they found Homer, who had been missing for months.

Homer Barron was found laying on a bed in a sealed room, when the police investigated the crime scene they found wedding clothes and gray hair in the pillow next to the body, this hair belonged to Emily Grierson. It is believed that she had dreams to get married but her father never accepted any of her lovers. Many years after her fathers death Emily was seen with Homer Barron many times, the neighbors thought they were a couple and apparently so did Emily. It is believed that Homer was using Emily as a cover up to hide the fact that he was a homosexual. Emily notices something was not right when she learned that Homer had no intensions of getting married, so she hired a private detective to follow him and see if he had another girlfriend.

According to the private detective, Homer was always with younger men at the Elks Club. It is believed that when Emily learned the truth she was full of hate and disgust, she then went and bought poison. She wanted Homer to be with her forever even if it meant killing him and sleeping next to his dead body. After the neighbors learned all this details they were almost certain that Emily was the one who killed Homer. This was later confirmed when it was finally identified that the cause of Homers death was poison. Everyone in Jefferson were terrified with what Emily had done but the most shocking part for them was that Homer was a homosexual.

    Clarification of a Strange Death:
The strange death of Emily Grierson, a 74 years old woman from Jeferson, was clarified yesterday. The woman found dead decades ago, apparently was victim of a homicide. Her aggressor also killed her father and her servant, named Tobe. The woman lived alone with her servant and father, when first able, her father was killed she went in a depression. Time after, she felt in love with a man that didn’t respond to her love as she wanted. This second event in her life, carry with the death of Tobe. Tobe was a black man, which accompanied Ms. Grierson many years. Nobody in the neighborhood interacted with Ms. Grierson. The hypothesis of her death was fist, an assassin; but yesterday the forensic revealed that the cause of her death was a suicide. The old woman was depressed because of her “bad luck” dying the people she loved and the one who she felt in love didn’t correspond to her.

  22. Death of a generation
Emily Grierson, a 74 year old woman, was found dead in her house 2 days ago. She was one of the most famous people in her neighborhood. The people of the neighborhood said that they rarely saw her at home or get out. They only saw Tobe, her servant, get out of the house with a basket. He ran out of the house, made the chores, and went back without speaking to anyone. Many people thought Emily was sick, others thought she was crazy or something else because weird things happened in the house. It was until two days ago that all the secrets of Emily were revealed and all the things that really happened in her house. Emily was not the only one found dead in the house. The police told us that after looking over the house they found a door that wasn’t opened in 40 years. This door took them to a dirty room were a man was lying in the bed. It was the body of Homer Baron, now a dead man. According to Homer Baron’s neighbors, they had a relationship. He was seen getting in the house only once and he never came out. This mysterious case has a lot of questions, which the police want to know. There are rumors that Emily got out of the house once and went to a grocery store to buy rat poison. The owner of the store said that she never said that the poison was for other thing. The police take that as a big clue in the investigation. Nobody else saw or know something, it is a big mystery that the police tries to know.

OUT WITH THE OLD, AND IN WITH THE ROT
Our beloved Emily Grierson, age 74, was found not only deceased, but heavily decayed within her own abode. If you were wondering “gee, what’s that god awful stench?” then look no further. Emily’s corpse was found in a sealed room within her grand mansion. Many wondered what’s inside, but our investigators finally took an inside look at the Grierson household’s mystery.
When we arrived at the scene, we were greeted by a negro, presumably the Grierson’s butler, but when we inquired for details, we received no answer in return. As we were investigating the rooms, we saw how abandoned and forsaken they were, and how chills ran up someone’s spine as if one was at a graveyard at the darkest hours of night. It was all worth it, when we found one huge discovery.
Not only did we find our “aged” Emily, but we also found the body of a missing man; Homer Baron, one of the men in charge of construction of the sidewalk near the mansion. He was found in a state of advanced decomposition, revealing that he’s been dead for quite some time. Word around the street was, that he didn’t really fancy girls that much, and preferred the company of men, leaving poor, little Emily behind.
Other reports say that Emily had bought arsenic, for “a rat problem”, but now that we have the other pieces of the puzzle, it is all coming together now. Seems like Emily, wanting to be with Homer so badly, slipped some poison into his afternoon tea, and fell dead at the spot. That’s all well and done, but what’s really odd, is that hi body was left in a bed for years, alongside a men’s bathroom set. What were Emily’s real intentions with this man? We’ll find out soon in our next segment.

    Love that kills

Emily Grierson, of 74 years of age, was found dead inside her own house. Also turns out that she was not the only person dead inside the house. After some research, Lutenant Roman indicated that there was another body inside a sealed room on the same. Neighbors who knew her told us that this body could be the body of Homar Barron, the lover of Emily who have been dissapeared for as many as 40 years. Evidence like this suggests that Emily was suffering from a deep depression, and probably some mental illness. It is very possible that she could have something to do with the death of her lover. Also we found that Homer left her sometime before she bought the arsenic. This evidence makes it even more possible that Emily did actually murdered him. Police men went with this conclusion but they still suggest that they must find the young guy who worked for her before anybody goes to any conclusion.

Secrets and mysteries taken into the graves.

In the Grierson, house Mrs. Emily, the mysterious hidden woman who used to give painting lessons was found dead besides the body of her lover Homer he was in severe decomposition. There are many stories to what might have happened. Town people said to our reporters that she changed completely after her father’s death, a body that she also kept during 3 days in her house before informing that he had passed away. Nobody in town knew anything about her, except that her servant would go in and out the house but Mrs. Emily was never seen. When the group of detectives went around town asking the neighbors if they had any idea or knew something different about Mrs. Emily, they wouldn’t here a different story. Except for this one merchant who said an important detail that could help us figure out the case. He said that Mrs. Emily had come by the store and bought arsenic saying that she needed it for the rats. But what rats was she referring to? Could it be the rats of her past? Or the life of a rat that she lived with her lover that made her kill him? We still don’t know or even imagine what was going in this 74 years old lady’s mind to keep a body of a dead person in the state of decomposition hidden for so long. It seems that this is a great mystery that both Mrs. Emily and Mr. Homer are going to take to the grave but our investigators would not rest until they conclude what happened in this abandoned house.
